Finally, iPhone 3G Comes to Indonesia via Telkomsel

The device you all Indonesian Mac junkies out there waiting has finally comes to Indonesia. Just read the news via @deon twitter updates. The new iPhone 3G can be bought via Telkomsel. The page on Apple’s website (pictured above) showed where you can buy the iPhone in Indonesia. According to Deon in his following update, you can pre-order the precious phone directly via Telkomsel, but apparently the server is now too busy. Not a big surprises. After waiting for about 5 minutes, the page didn’t loaded yet. So sorry I can’t tell you how much the price of the device nor the plan options. According to previous information, it is in the range of 8 -10 million rupiahs and 300k rupiah/month plan. I will updates soon as I got any information regarding to this.

Do I have a plan to buying? I don’t think so. Not. In. Near. Time. It’s big consideration to change whole everything with the carrier, or regarding the pricey plan. Maybe later after digging something that makes work on the iPhone is worth :)

UPDATE: Deon said later there is no price yet. Customers who pre-order the device will be called upon the pruchases.

The reservation is commitment free. There are no considerations (money) exchanged between you and Telkomsel at the time of registration so both parties will be free to back away from the deal.

If you’re after an iPhone, make sure you have an iTunes account set up. Your iPhone won’t be of much use without one.

    masih banyak kekurangan di iphone 3G, dan bisa dikonfirmasi melalui situs2 majalan elektronik besar spt cnet, dll. kekurangan-nya adalah fungsi2 basic dari HP yg kalo nggak ada bisa merepotkan/bikin sebel spt :
 – tdk bisa SMS forwarding
 – bluetooth hanya utk. handset, tidak bisa transfer data
- pengaturan group contact lebih susah
 – tdk bisa MMS
 – camera 2MP tdk auto focus dan tdk ada flash (utk. HP high-end rasanya nggak asik)
 – 3g msh blm stabil (tapi mgk utk ini hrs dibuktiin sendiri)



    positivnya adalah interface yg super ciamik fantastic, dan internet browser sama spt kalo kita buka di komputer (isyilah yg mereka pake adalah “full web browser). utk HP yg memfokuskan pada networking dan diclaim sbg multi-media, iphone msh jauh dg blakcberry ato nokia e71. bisa tanya jg ama temen2 yg udah punya iphone “tak resmi”. sayang banget.

    tapi ganti ama iPhone yang baru ntar kalo keluar…
    1 yang sampe saat ini lom ada ngalahin di iPhone..
    banyak aplikasi baik gratisan maupun bayar…
    plus… multitouch…
    yang laen… lewat….
