Does Young American Know the Country they Attacked?

A delegation of American high school students today demanded the United States stop waging war in obscure nations such as Afghanistan, Kuwait, and Bosnia-Herzegovina, and instead attack places they've actually heard of, such as France, Australia, and Austria, unless, they said, those last two are the same country.

Another Writing Tips

I love to write, though it needs more improvement to say it as a good writing. I also love to write anything that would make anyone love to write, here are pieces of them:
- How to Write an Effective Letter to the Editor, by Robert W. Tracinski, editor of The Intellectual Activist and a senior writer for the Ayn Rand Institute
- Notes on Writing Reviews, by Jason Lockwood, Jason Lockwood’s book review column, “Lock on Books,” appeared in The Leader, a University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee student newspaper.

A day after Jennifer Lopez celebrated her 32nd birthday snuggling with Ben Affleck, the actress filed for divorce today (7/25) from her husband Cris Judd. But the end of the Lopez-Judd union--which lasted all of eight months and cratered due to "irreconcilable differences"--will come with a whimper, since the two sides have already settled their breakup terms according to their lawyers. The divorce, filed by Lopez in Los Angeles Superior Court, will become official in six months, on January 26, 2003. So, gentlemen, get those proposals ready.

Fast Food Outlets Sued Because Their Customers Are Fat

The New York Post reports that McDonalds, Kentucky Chicken and Burger King, among others, are being sued by customers who claim the chains intentionally serve food loaded in fat. "The fast-food industry has wrecked my life," said the lead plaintiff, a maintenance supervisor from The Bronx. "I was conned, I was fooled, I was tricked." He claims he had no idea that the food might be bad for him. Will this case be chucked out of court? Or will this lead to juries awarding yet another huge pay-out to very stupid people (with very astute lawyers)?

Stuck Time Is Not Always Trouble

Time to time, every man slowly but nature reengage theirself of what has going on in their life. This self reintrospection may come from a wider way in various nature. I am either in that way too. I think the rest of stress still last on my head now, but i feel now i could get involve to care for my self in freedom. I used the way to take this psycological matter by measures anything goes beyond my head, my soul, and may nature. And, naturally i was statisfied with almostly all result. Aura Test

Ah, i had the responsibility to take a meme test again, it's about aura test, here what they said about me:
We don't need a psychic to tell us that you're giving off a Sapphire vibe. People with blue auras feel everything strongly — you tend to get a little emotional at the drop of a hat. You're also deeply spiritual and introspective. Matters of the heart, mind, and soul are important to you, and your waters run as deep as the ocean. Nurturing by nature, you're likely a loving, supportive caretaker. That's why friends, family, and co-workers adore you. They know you're a good listener and always have great advice and a shoulder for them to cry on. In fact, if we had to find a fault, it's that you can be a tad too self-sacrificing. Remember that it's okay to say no sometimes. You forgive everyone else their weaknesses, so go ahead and forgive yourself for a little well-deserved selfishness. Indulge your creative side and do something artsy, or just take a break from being the world's counselor. You'll come back refreshed and ready for more.

Temperament Test

Your Temperament is: Idealist (NF). Take the quiz here.
All Idealists (NFs) share the following core characteristics:
  • Idealists are enthusiastic, they trust their intuition, yearn for romance, seek their true self, prize meaningful relationships, and dream of attaining wisdom.
  • Idealists pride themselves on being loving, kindhearted, and authentic.
  • Idealists tend to be giving, trusting, spiritual, and they are focused on personal journeys and human potentials.
  • Idealists make intense mates, nurturing parents, and inspirational leaders.
Idealists, as a temperament, are passionately concerned with personal growth and development. Idealists strive to discover who they are and how they can become their best possible self--always this quest for self-knowledge and self-improvement drives their imagination. And they want to help others make the journey. Idealists are naturally drawn to working with people, and whether in education or counseling, in social services or personnel work, in journalism or the ministry, they are gifted at helping others find their way in life, often inspiring them to grow as individuals and to fulfill their potentials.

Idealists are rare, making up no more than 8 to 10 percent of the population. But their ability to inspire people with their enthusiasm and their idealism has given them influence far beyond their numbers.

Quizes Your Color

Quizes Your Color, this is mine:
Acts in an orderly, methodical, and self-contained manner. Needs the sympathetic understanding of someone who will give him recognition and approval.

Unfulfilled hopes have led to uncertainty and apprehension. Needs to feel secure and to avoid any further disappointment, and fears being passed over or losing standings and prestige. Doubts that things will be any better in the future and this negative attitude leads him to make exaggerated demands and to refuse to make reasonable compromises.

Willing to become emotionally involved and able to achieve satisfaction through sexual activity.
Circumstances are restrictive and hampering, forcing him to forgo all joys and pleasures for the time being.

Needs to feel identified with someone or something and wishes to win support by his charm and amiability. Sentimental and yearns for a romantic tenderness.

Disappointment and the fear that there is no point in formulating fresh goals have led to anxiety, and he is distressed by the lack of any close and understanding relationship. He attempts to escape into a substitute world in which things are more nearly as he desires them to be.
Willing involve and satisfied through sexual activity? Oh girls, how dare aren't you?

The Noam Chomsky Archive

I didn't hate US, neither its peoples as well. I only hate US by the way their intervention to any developing countries. I really hate US role for global movements. I love human rights, by any means the politics should concludes the way to stand behind it. But, i really hate militarism used by any way to get human rights. By these like and dislike, i then loves Noam Chomsky, he is one of America's most prominent political dissidents. A renowned professor of linguistics at MIT, he has authored over 30 political books dissecting such issues as U.S. interventionism in the developing world, the political economy of human rights and the propaganda role of corporate media.

How We Feel Homeless?

"Earlier this month two Derek Clark, 24, and Scotty Weeks, 25, left their comfortable apartments to live on the streets of Seattle for a week and get a taste of what life is like for the homeless," writes billmcn. "They kept a weblog of their adventures begging for change, eating at a soup kitchen, and passing around a bottle of Thunderbird. The whole business is all about as stupid and patronizing as it sounds, and the pair have been properly excorciated by the local media. Still, their variation of this stunt was pulled off with less than the usual heaping of self-serving piety. Clark and Weeks are clearly aware that they are dilettantes, turning what was nominally a descent to the lowest rung of society into a kind of camping trip. "As for now,I am counting the minutes to my shower and my hot cup of super-premium coffee," is how Weeks concludes the final entry of his weblog. Well, that's nothing if not honest."

The Love and Hate in Soccer

Everyone loves soccer, it might be. But everyone may be goes unpretentious to manage that they take to hate or love by soccer, by any means. For the short facts, soccer create of communty at any price they could pay for what they love, and always to hate what they couldn't paid. The desire to love a player hero, was totally become totaliter thinking that they should be give whole respect without doubt. And, this sport as always seem to create any hate for other oppositions. The bad, this hate occasionaly change from normal hate (by the case of sport-opposition) to any hate that any man could do, including hate-racism as well.

A Sad News

I just heard a sad news. It was from a long last netpals girl. She just had been left by her boy-friend forever a weeks ago. She was comes in her 27/28 i think. In these ages, it is difficult to say for most of Indonesian women if they were not at least engaged, or had no-relationship within any man. It was hard to believe again for her life after this. I made to told her if he could stay for the best, because life was not simply as like that. If we left by someone who we loves really, may be God has another pieces of loves to Given. I used to tell her, we only could give the best for God. Like her short-message quoted from Rumi, "Every teardrop given will fertile our yard in heaven." I very touched by this quote, as well her another quote, "Every clouds has its silver lining." I hope you will have the best of patience, friend.

Children on the Internet?

Internet was really wonderful things given by this century. It was a great innovation that takes our togetherness in the world of global community, including the children as well. I just thinking, what will I doing in my childhood if that was internet available on my dekstop as a toy. It was amazing stories to have, but I only a kind of children of little town in uncivilised country like Indonesia. But it always heard amazing storees ever made. Now, what we think then if the children now live in internet? Protection of course. Internet was a jungle world. The strong kick the weak, the weak beat the weakless, and so more. If we just had a thinking to protect, let's protect it.

Understanding Islamism? I hoped that,

I hoped that, by addressing this question, we would be able to find some clues to understanding Islamism, a subject that produces more value judgments than cool analysis. There are a number of writers hostile to the movement; a number who have become favourable to it; some who say that it is the embodiment of the identity of the Muslim people; and others who argue that, precisely for that reason, it should either be encouraged or fought against.

Universities challenged

Student strikes, courses and scholarships cancelled, buildings in disrepair. Since 1990 African campuses have been in crisis as the state, their main source of funding, has found itself up against democratic opposition. Obsessed by the "good governance" ordered by international financial institutions, the new leaders have ignored higher education as unproductive.

The universities have played a major part in democratisation and in them the desire for change lives on. The desire for renewal that emerged in the early 1990s was so strong that schoolchildren and students joined the political quest for power without always thinking what that involved (1). For the most part dominated by the need for material improvement to their living conditions, their demands became political.

Spielberg's Future

The place is Washington, the year 2054. Except for the automobiles and some additional skyscrapers, the place doesn't look greatly different. The story centers on a new government bureau, the Department of Precrime, which operates only in the city but is intended to become national. It has a corps of cops--individually airborne via special backpacks--who are alerted to a murder that is about to be committed, and then speed to the scene to keep it from happening. The homicide rate in D.C. has plummeted.

Do You Understand the Real of Tolerance?

Arab, Muslim Students Targeted for Racist Harassment
July 5, 2002 -- Since September 11, Arab and Muslim students at South Lakes High School in Reston, Virginia, a suburb of Washington D.C., encounter hatred -- from dirty looks to death threats -- directed against them solely because of their race and religion.
As the note said, Robin Chen Delos is the news editor for the newspaper at South Lakes High School in Reston, Virginia, a suburb of Washington, D.C. This spring she wrote a cover story about the harassment of Arab and Muslim students at South Lake High.

The day before the paper was scheduled to go to print, the article was recalled, censored by the school administration because, as Robin says, "the principal thought it would make the school look bad." Here is the story, in its complete form.

I only had one question, do they who think they were more good practices in tolerance, democracy and human rights feel better to hate others because of matter religion and race? I'm a muslim. So i feel in about this matter.

Days of Drums

Days of Drums
This is a first book of Philip Shelby that I've read. An excellent story line with intrique and interesting characters. Holland Tylo, the woman in the book is intellegent and strong. The plot really nice, but you would probably found the key stories in first page of this book if you have noticed well. Though, this is a really entertaining book after Eleventh Commandment.
Rookie Secret Service agent Holland Tylo is assigned to protect the charming, powerful Senator Charles Westbourne. Due to a procedural slipup, the senator and his mistress are brutally murdered, but not before he slips Tylo a diskette containing explosive material about a group of influential senators. Tylo is singled out to take the heat for the senator's murder and is cut loose from the service. But the killer comes after Tylo next. Alone and disgraced, she's unclear about who she can trust..
