Look Who's Profitted

I'm very impressed with Sherlock Holmes by his clearing and reasoning through every case in The Best of Sherlock Holmes books which I read several days ago. I remember his words something neatly like is, "Questioning who are very profitted in every obvious crime could led us to its suspects". Let's go to our case! Everyone now very fear of the possibility of war between US-Iraq. So, let go the that Holmes' question, who is very profitted by such activities (including pre-war propaganda and after war [if any])? Let imagine, before signaling the war propaganda, US face its economy fell 19.7 percent (GDP) after 9/11. How to rise this number? Oil price is the answer. That's two things happened then, first, they state to propagate war on Iraq (including after a year initiation of axis of evil countries) on early 2002, this of course instantly make oil prices risen up. But, the they faces a second incident after financial scandals on Enron, WorldCom and others. These all, luckily could be covered after Venezuela crisis which secondly risen up oil prices 35 percent since November 2002. In all that situations and crisis, i just very impressed again that US facing hope with their 0.7% economic grows according to recent Department of Commerce. How just lucky isn't it?

After all, as a paranoid man, I happy to note a last famous word to remember, "If there're just very much coincidently, there must be run on c******cy." Could you guess it guys?

Our Life, Just Was

Now what's next to be in our life? After woke up, then we eat, then sleep, then p*ss, or just sleep again? That's all just our ordinary life in its very basic reason. The others, like reading, browsing and blogging is just a kind of such bonus in the very just life. If, you get more after those basic life (food, home, and wear), i think you must be thank to your destiny. Think what's other being?

That's very in lucky just the girl in US as on Where's the Beef, Time Jan 30, instead of people in other countries, including Indonesia, that some people seems to be very difficult to find meat in their daily meals. To be thinking positive, I think their movement on Cool 2 be Real Girl could help cutting down meat and moved to other's countries which really very need of. What's is life to be, just was lucky isn't it?

What's happened with me?

Hei, what's happened with this guys? Why he didn't blog so long time? Why he didn't pinch her nose and blew out his words though its really ridiculous and boring. Is he dead?

Yeah, in the world of free-information era, in the hype of blogging mode, I will, and may be you, often ask yourself if you noticed someone whose blog mean for you happened not blogging in long period. Are you asking the same question while the off period of me? I really would thanks for it, even I also make apology that I never notice this matter before I really dissapear in almost three weeks.

Okay, for that off time, I will tell you what's happened in that long three week period. First week, I had to use to go home in Jombang. Wow, it's all wonderful time to joy. Now, the two of the weeks, I had a great time while I used it all to reinforce my experiences on writing fiction. I really impressed to tell you that now I just starting write fiction. Is that finished? Sorry, it doesn't yet. But, I will promise if my fictions had done, I will let you know in the very first time.

Is it all that kind of good things? No, not really. Pssst, at almost that two weeks, I also had a great time to play with my old favourite game Civilization III. It's a simulation game which you were become to rule a colony and state to build the best civilization in given time. I know this game since 1996 when I was ridiculously played it overnight in almost every day. Since the development, now version III, the game become more complex and more enhanced. It's a famous game with really state of the art simulation and term. Just to imagine, if we played this game, I think I could become an Indonesian president better than Megawati. What? Yup, it's really. To rule your country in the world civilization, you must led your people to make building, city improvement, do research, and even setting up miliatary forces. And, you also need to communicate with other civilization, do diplomacy, even make a war if needed or you've been fighted. By my score, I think I still good at that time :)) After all, I will not to write anymore, I think I should get to play again. Oh I forget it, and continue my writing :)

Le Carré on War and Bush

'It's High Noon for American Democracy' declares John le Carré in
openDemocracy. As President Bush rallies his troops for 'The first war of the 21st century' we are asking writers, artists and civic leaders where they stand with respect to this turning point.

John le Carré takes the lead with a powerful rebuke of 'a predatory and dishonest war' as he responds to Bush's claim that we are either for him or for terrorism. Le Carré is one name guaranteed of to be the best novelist on espionage and conspiracy theories. His novel, Tailor of Panama has been filmed and starred by Pierce 'James Bond' Brosnan.

“But will we win, Daddy?”
“Of course we will, child, and quickly, while you are still in bed.”
“But will people be killed, Daddy?”
“There will be a few Western casualties. Very few. Go to sleep.”
“And after that, will everything be normal? Nobody will strike back? The terrorists will all be dead?”
“Wait till you’re older, dear. Goodnight.”
“And is it really true that last time round Iraq lost twice as many dead as America lost in the entire Vietnam war?”
“Hush child. That’s called history.”

Mother of All Lies About 9/11

No one would disclaim if event on 11 September 2001 was said as a big tragedy that killed a lot of victims. But then many pros-cons opinions came on the way how US gov responds to it. Some saw some clumsiness on this event. It includes a CNN news about a phone call from Flight 77 by Barbara Olson to her husband, US Solicitor General, Ted Olson, that's now proved untrue. Without this news, there would have been no Arab Hijackers, no Osama Bin Laden directing operations from afar, and no “War on Terror” in Afghanistan and occupied Palestine.

Trade Hipocrisy

The chief ideologist of US trade policy defends its ‘free trade’ impulse in The Economist as a route to global prosperity. In reality, responds Oxfam’s head of research, the US increasingly pursues trade policies that undermine the life-chances of poor people in poor countries.

The freetrade in a free meanings is exactly what it should be named, a name for that any nation in the world could join and exactly trade freely. But, in practical world, it's exactly far to reach in any free way. It's easily let to be a new kind of imperialism. Is that really dangerous? Yes, with deep simpathy. You should imagine an illustration like this, if anyone could sell their product to Indonesia, how about the local Indonesian producer of that same product? Yes, they could sell it off to another country, but man, realize it if the Indonesian product is bad than another country's product. Yes, it should be our false, why we don't use any state of the art mass production methodologies, why we don't use high tech technology to increase productivity, so we could gain a lower price and better quality. Or just asking myself, why we're bad? It's good answer but stupid thought, what you imagine if we had a large amount of unemployeed people, but we used to use a state of the art machine that cut off any people in production. Industry is another kind of art that we should gain the best in productivity but in the other case we should compromise with employment and life chances.

So, do we continue to free trade? For non-poor country with a few amount of unemployment, I think we should. It's a best way to gain productivity and quality. But for poor ones, oh man, are you crazy with that?

The younger man says invade us the older man says no

Those words came from two generation of Iraqi. They have been asked by openDemocracy, what should be done about Saddam Hussein’s regime? Two Iraqi exiles of different generations and views discuss the best way forward for a country now on the brink of decisive change.

I'm very touched with both answer, in any mean that's a simple reflection of our general hope in life. What we do, what we think, and what our soul believe is just an ordinary happening that coloring our daily lifes. If some generation doesn't have any hope for their future, I think the most dangerous hope would easily on their mind if compared to any generation who live in the most beautiful hope like in Western or modern world.

There, who we are, is only a simple reflection about our being in yesterday's. Is just that? Yes, I believe it. As for me as an Indonesian, I thought we have very far differences thought with Western generation, overmore with Iraqi. Those two answer are really easy words to prove it as the facts. So, is that important to understand what is likely Iraqi words above? Of couse, honestly. If we think we are a part of freedom nations, we should be join to fight other's nation freedom, and help any hope free. Read Comment

WHY MOTHER TERESA SHOULD NOT BE A SAINT

Christopher Hitchens, the Vanity Fair columnist, has been called in by the Vatican to argue against Mother Teresa of Calcutta being made a saint. He sets it out in the Daily Mirror: a stony-hearted religious fundamentalist who mixed with dictators of whom "in the age of global celebrity, no one troubled to ask if such a global repuation was truly earned or simply the result of brilliant public relations."
