The Great War: Shame on you!

There're two great war happened this week, really. The first is, war on Iraq. The second is, war in the red carpet. The second, as we knew recently, won by Chicago ganks (though I very loved with The Hours). The first, as everyone confused at all time, almostly in every time will be won by US. But, as I knew recently from Al Jazeera TV which relayed by local TV station TV7 (compared to biasly CNN), the things just goes ashame. In fact, it's all shames, just from the beginning.

In the very nature, mankind loved to war. Since the Book told the story of man, they're passionately to do war, in their very basic nature. Even with his very brothers. But man, as historically written, and philoshopically, love with this, instead fearful and ashame. That's man. Created by God's sake. The best creatures, in its very complexious formulas, very ashamed. But man is created to do the best. That's inspired everyman do their best, and their worst instead.

What proves me is a fact I concluded from a very interesting book that I've read recently, Devil Take the Hindmost: A History of Financial Speculation. This book tells the very nature of human to speculate, which, as some very aware paranoid-man think, the root of all evil is of course MONEY. Since its very beginning, money creates evil. And we just living in it. So, happy for you who live not for money! What makes Bush did war? What makes Oscar show happened? What makes us work? Money, money and happily we still owe the answer to money.

I hope so not...... all because money. But yes, they're instead.

So, if you're yelling when Michael Moore talk in his speech, i think you're the one of above's crazy. Shame on you!

"We like nonfiction and we live in fictitious times. We live in the time where we have fictitious election results that elects a fictitious president (there're too many "whooo" in this words, Arif). We live in a time where we have a man sending us to war for fictitious reasons. Whether it's the fictition of duct tape or fictition of orange alerts we are against this war, Mr. Bush. Shame on you, Mr. Bush, shame on you. And any time you got the Pope and the Dixie Chicks against you, your time is up. Thank you very much."

So, when Collin Farrell did his very thoughtful introduction, I know, I will loves this actor. So do I felt when Adrian Brody, a new coming actor on his first Oscar in The Pianist, I now think, okay it's enough to be paranoid all that time. I know the best man will think.

This is, you know, it fills me with great joy, but I am also filled with a lot of sadness tonight because I am accepting an award at such a strange time. And you know my experiences of making this film made me very aware of the sadness and the dehumanization of people at times of war. And the repercussions of war. And whatever you believe in, if it's God or Allah, may he watch over you and let's pray for a peaceful and swift resolution.

Yet, you're just in time. A crazy. A bad shift. May be we should back to time. But, as we know, here we are. A very ashamed war happened there, many errors, in man and weapons, many civilians has been killed in the name of very bad wrongs doers. A frustated soldiers kill his friends. And, so much more. But, here we are, though Oscar believed not so fairly (I believed the best-director should be given to Martin Scorcese), but we can't expected in what ages we lives. Or, in what amount will we be rich and in what shame history we will be noted. Shame on you!

Thinking War

As expected, Bush ultimatum over Saddam lead a split over many countries policy. It seems, they will thinking hard where they should turn around, instead to support or decline the war by US and UK over Iraq. As many analyst said, this may harm global economics affairs, which yesterday indicated by the fall of Euro and the rising of Dollar in Forex market. Why we fear of war? The only answer is, it's unevitable.

French opposition to the U.S (and Germany), is not about Iraq but about who runs the world, writes Charles Krauthammer. And exactly is, this war not just toppling-Saddam war, but also a testing of United Nation credibility to protect world's peace. If US goes war (instead there're too many ifs) without UN resolution or whatever, it seems the world get into anarchistic 'law order'. Who lead the world? UN or US? Next question is, what's next?

Let's think different, it's okay the war happened (and may be UN support it, i just wonder if you can), it seems (and US think) this war is easy war. Us will won, it's all okay. But, the big question is, how long this war happened? I think, if the war began long, it's the time for US' trouble to come. Summer will come in next few days. And, according to friend in middle east, recent days the wind blows heavy. It'll not an easy war.

Let's think different again, have you ever wonder Saddam will give up his power in the last next hours? I really, and some many leaders over countries, hoping that. So, let the hope raise to the Heaven. Only God we have now! Peace!

The Guardian Story: What's Left for US Media?

Believe it or not. According to Nielsen/NetRatings, 49 percent of the Guardian's 1.3 million unique visitors (that's the number of different visitors, not the site's total traffic) in January originated from the Americas. Likewise, Nielsen said a quarter of the visitors to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's website in January were from the Americas.

"Several commentators have pointed out that since the push for war in Iraq really began picking up steam, the websites of news sources outside the US have seen a huge influx of American readers," Plastic noted. "Meanwhile, CNN online actually saw a readership decline between December 2002 and January 2003 (though most all news websites have seen readership spikes since then).

"Leander Khaney, the writer of the Wired piece, speculates that the mainstream U.S. media is simply being far too uncritical in its coverage of the Administration and the impending war, and so U.S. citizens are finding it necessary to turn elsewhere if they want a truly fair and balanced (cough, cough) take on the matter. Even U.S. media stars such as Dan Rather have complained about U.S. media self-censorship in the aftermath of September 11th.

What's left for America, with all of your very unfairly policy?

Counting Start: The Days of Drum

And finally, the unfairly judge of the world named The "Evil Family" George Walker Bush, has blew out his whistle. The war ultimatum has been delivered. And now what?

Wuhuh...Wha...Huh?
"Hmmm....how do we tell people 'you're all going to die' without bringing the country to a screeching halt?" Seriously, as if the color-coded terror alert thing wasn't ridiculous enough already...
(Mon 17 Mar 6:51pm)

Here We Go
Like it or not, it appears Bush's dream for a war against Iraq is a go. The UN has just announced that it is pulling out all personnel including weapons inspectors and humanitarian aid workers on the advice of American authorities.
(Mon 17 Mar 2:57pm)

Thank You, Great Leader Bush
Paulo Coelho thanks president Bush for teaching the world a few lessons about itself and arguably shaping the future of humanity - just not quite the way he intended.

No French-thing?
As US fast food outlets rename french fries "freedom fries", the Christian Science Monitor takes the argument to its logical conclusion. What have the French ever done for us? Er, more than you might imagine.

Note from me:
Please remember, the world as your very breath has been taken, still the same as old. Every strong get it power, the weak will lose, or run away to bring the power back. And, they will happened happy to war. With or without judge, the game still the game, the strongest must be won! You disagree? YES, WE JUST FACING the most dumbest man just pointing his hand on our Greatest United Nation and he just sadly silent! All just can't do. All just wanted to be. All is just same AS SEEN ON TV!

A Crazy World News

An Independant Palestine?
Not if Bush accepts the changes to the US 'road map' that the Israeli government has suggested. Sharon wants the phrase 'independence' to be replaced by "certain attributes of sovereignty".
A Bush Official Tells The Truth
You knew it was going to happen, even if by accident. Richard Perle has admitted that disarmament was never the issue with Iraq, weapons or no the US is going to attack. I wonder who he's going to accuse of being a terrorist over this one.
Bulldozer Vs. Protester
An American, protesting the Israeli demolition of Palestinian housing in Gaza, died when an army bulldozer crushed and dragged her.
Media Bias
A rift now separates the United States and the world -- not just a diplomatic gap, but a perception gap. One sign of the sundering is the discrepancy in how journalists here and abroad have treated some recent stories.

--thanks to Plastic for the link

Update (3/17): What should one do about France?
Does this 'war' lead economic war and give a huge impacts on global economic crisis in the next days (predicted to be war in this weeks)?

Imagine if the World Always Peace

I begin learn to play piano just a year ago. And, wonder what song's I could plays first? It's Imagine by John Lennon. I don't know why this song was so easy to play, wether why this song was so much been favourited by people around the world. Don't you?

I'm a big fan of John Lennon. He is my hero. And this song is pilosophically means to me. Let's imagine if the world without countries, so they will never fight each other. Let's imagine if all the people sharing all the world, so they will never be thinking to steal others. If the global policy like any happened today, seemly kind pre-emptive 'thinking', which actually all doesn't happened, like recently America did with Iraq, also Israel vis a vis Palestine, and many more, I think the world will never come to be like imagined by John Lennon. By all his activities due to promote peace, he is continually become controversy, and happened death shooted by his fans (actually it's to much controversy also on the truth)

So, let's imagine, we all living in peace. Or, is it life just an imagination?

Jews Interests at War on Iraq?

"A constituent of Congressman Jim Moran (D-Virginia) asked him at a public forum why he didn't think the anti-war sentiment was as effective in the United States as it was in Europe," profwhat writes. "While Moran (who represents wealthy voters in Northern Virginia's Washington D.C. suburbs) could have answered that the difference owed to Europe's different political structure, or to the psychological impact of terrorist attacks here, or to European misgivings about growing American power, Moran instead offered this answer:

"If it were not for the strong support of the Jewish community for this war with Iraq, we would not be doing this. The leaders of the Jewish community are influential enough that they could change the direction of where this is going and I think they should."

"Jewish groups and writers instantly condemned the remarks. 'What we have here is a United States congressman endorsing and spreading one of the oldest and most pernicious myths in the annals of ethnic hatred: It's those all-powerful Jews,' said Washington Post columnist Marc Fisher. White House spokesman Ari Fleischer called the remarks 'shocking,' and House Republican leader Tom DeLay called on Moran's fellow Democrats to condemn the remarks. Many have: six Democrats (all Jewish) wrote a letter to Democratic House leader Nancy Pelosi saying Moran should not run again. Pelosi, Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle and presidential candidate John Kerry have also all denounced the remarks, though they held off on saying Moran should resign. Moran represents a gerrymandered district that is highly favorable to Democrats, so any challenge will have to come from within his party.

"An often-repeated theory goes that a small group of Jews, often referred to in code as 'neoconservatives' (a list that seems to always include hawkish Jews like Bill Kristol and Paul Wolfowitz) want to depose Saddam Hussein to improve Israeli security. These 'neocons' then insinuated themselves into the Bush administration and seized on 9/11 as the pretext to put their plan -- manifesto'd, some say, in a 1996 position paper written for the Netanyahu administration -- into motion.

Update (3/15): a new counter on Washington, but no matter Jews quantity and how, it's just a question is true war on Iraq most profitted to Israel--in particularly, instead of Jew :)

Au Revoir French Fries

Au Revoir French Fries (french=Good bye French Fries). How dare are French Fries. Wether it is born on Belgium, but American Republican Senator seems very hating it. Of course, it's because a word "French" on this frenchy foods. I love french fries since McDonald's sell it here, so I really should blame them introduce this kind of yummy food it here :) Angry over France's anti-war stance, Rep. Bob Ney (R-Ohio) - the chairman of the House Administration Committee - decided to give the food a new ring. "This action today is a small but symbolic effort to show the strong displeasure of many on Capitol Hill with the actions of our so-called ally, France," Ney said. Similarly, "French toast" will now be called "freedom toast". So, what's next to be? I think i'll be back on Tempe. It's a yummy delicious food from Indonesian tradition. Yummy!

I am Islam, so I Live

Well, let's now talk open. This is just a recent days of 2003. A year half after 9/11 tragedy, a moment who believed by many people become shifting our world's relationship. And, it's just too easy became the truth. By many circumstances happened on our earth, from the fall of Taliban regime in Afghan, oir-crisis who following Venezuela politic crisis, and raisen by US plan to topple Iraq's leader Saddam Husein which lead to global anti-war protest in whole nations of the world, we just contstantly facing a horrible world, a situation that we really confused how the world would be. Especially if you're muslim. Why I focused in this thing? Let me continue, and please read it honestly.

I'm muslim since I was born (actually it doesn't, because Islam stated that someone became muslim after they were in maturity status--between 9-13 years old). Since I was living in modern city like Jakarta of Indonesia, but I actually affected by the behaviours of Islamic cultural traditional-openness thinking of my town Jombang. Jombang is also the hometown of Gus Dur, the former Indonesian president, one of so many Indonesian who famously had tolerant and open thinking. In the city like that, I was believed that no matter of our religion, we just born to live.

In the last year, thorougly in the past recent year, every muslim seems to be hard to live, especially they who live actively communicates with in global relationship. I had some friends came from Europe and American. It seem difficult to me for the first time to argue with them after the tragedy of 9/11 in the mean that such events didn't have any linking with Islam, also after Bali tragedy. For me, honestly, I felt that all of the world population just would be very hated me because I was muslim, no matter what we said. I also felt that the fault is because I was muslim. Indonesia's fact is the world's most populous Muslim country, but many scholars quoted in their study that our country is more tolerant and openness culture. I think global-media is also an agent of provocatuer. Why they only covers hard-liners Islamic leaders which actually had only small quantities followers in reality. Why they uderstated the many Islamic peace rally?

Islam is a peace religion. I believe that if you consider to study more depth, you'll find it in not any difference with any religion. Religions born to be a wisdom for mankind, Ulil Abshar-Abdalla, a coordinator of Liberal Islamic Network wrote in his essay. Islam just one of them. I believe then, with the many supports form colleagous and buddies around the world, these all in my mind just a wrong perceptions. I realize then, many people of the world don't hate me because I was muslim. And I very happy of the many increasing program study concerning on Islam, and also many increasing quantities of articles which covering Islam in more depth ways. Though it seems many worng quotations and comments (like in the Time's special report Islam in Asia, they quoted girlscout in Indonesia must use head-scarves [print edition], actually it doesn't, is just happened at Islamic school), but I think it's all just good enough. I hope, in the shifting of time, we could develop the next really peace of the world!

Mass peace rally in Indonesia

From: BBC UK, March 10, 2003

The peaceful demonstration was organised by the country's largest Islamic organisation, Nahdlatul Ulama (NU).

A BBC correspondent says up to 300,00 people gathered in Indonesia's second city Surabaya to hear religious leaders speak out against military action.

Indonesia, the world's largest Muslim nation, has repeatedly stated its opposition to any unilateral attack on Iraq, although it is close to the US on other issues.

Oprah's Books Club Revisited

It seem that Oprah now didn't confidence than she at last, after disbanded her Oprah's Books Club show last year following 'heroically' Jonathan Frantzen unsatified judgment on his book, now she added a kind of 'author agreemnt' on its book's club application which mainly focused not to joke every her judgement in her own parties, also focused on classic (of course, a dead man can't protest). Honestly, I'm a big fan of Oprah's Books Club, and I think her choice rarely fair. I've read two or three books of her choice (I don't have enough budget to buy more, may be someone could present me?). I think, by such last accident, Oprah should be more confidence that her Books Club, a biggest and widest in the world, are on every reader's eyes!

Also, have you heard about Asian Heroes? Check and cast your vote!

Secret War

Many stories happened while I've been off, but I remember some stories that I've been noticed it to publish here. Last Feb 3, TIME has been published nice coverage about CIA's SECRET WAR. A story of CIA secret operation Special Operation Group, a trained military agent and given mission likely James Bond man. After 9/11 they get a green light to take action action. Several days before US troops land on Afghan, the SOG team has been discovered the land briefly. The most interested is, except armed with high-tech weapon and gadgets, including laptops and satellites communications, they also packed with 3 million dollar cash! This amount of money, of course, if imagined could buy anything, including man, organization, and countries :) Read also How CIA's Secret War On Saddam Collapsed: A Retired Intelligence Operative Surfaces With Details and Critique of U.S. Campaign, a fascinating stories of intelligence operation at Iraq.
