Comment on US

My American friend "Realistic and Rasional" Sassfrass has been replied my recent post, here her nice quote:

Agreed this is a very sad situation. The military people in the US are turning out to be a lot more peace-loving and realistic than the political leadership in the Bush Administration. Two examples - If you are a US soldier, what makes you different from terrorists? This is what the ethics teacher at a US military training institute says: ( http://chronicle.com/free/v49/i28/28b00701.htm ) Second example: one former commanding general of the US Air Force says: "Any way you look at it, Iraq is a regional problem, and it's an important problem, it ties to a lot of other problems, but it's a regional problem, and therefore, if I were helping the president decide what we ought to work on today, I would have put [North Korea] ahead of Iraq ... I think that everybody understands that a settlement of the Arab-Israeli problem would require the Israelis to stop settling the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, and maybe even withdraw some of the settlements that've already been put there ... Only we [the US] have the authority with both sides to move them towards that. Everybody knows that." ( http://www.oregonlive.com/special/iraq/index.ssf?/special/iraq/0327mcpeak.html ) Next election, I sure hope the US gets rid of this political leadership that seems to want to offend everyone and invade everyplace.
Well, there's three point in her comment: more peace-loving US military generals, Israeli settlement vs Palestine Indepence, and the next US election. For the first, I really amazed, is that really? If so, well, let the things goes in the better place. I hope the war will end soon. For the second comment, I think there should be a better solutions which of course for the very often delayed Pelestine Independence, and US policy on Israel should be no-double standard again. The last, I don't think it's really quite rational. Professor Daniel S. Lev, an American Indonesianist who just been in Indonesia several week ago noticed that there should be a political institution revolutionary with existing presidential system with two parties. He reasoned that if the twos has not responsible with their president, America will get the very unstaistisfied choice.

A Very Bad and Ashamed War

What do you think about America's war on Iraq? I just see a John Bruckheimer's Black Hawk Dawn, I think the city war as pictured there would sufficient to draw what war is liked to be. Ironically, rumors says this film has been blacklisted in America, even I heard that these film has been founded in many Iraqis ruins area.

The bad war actually happened for United States and his humble coalition. It's seem the days got anger for their top military officer. The fact's come after The New Yorker published a new best laid plains issue, Offense and Defense. According to this issue, there's a battle between Donald Rumsfeld (Secretary of Defense) and the Pentagon military seniors. This is such a cliche issue for America. It said, Rumsfeld thought he knew better than many of senior generals, so he changed every plan has been drafted in a year, named Plan 1003, and roll the team into his own. Rumsfeld needed a very cheap and efficient war, but generals' experience thought it wouldn't. So, when Peter Arnett blow up the bad war news, and of course, he get fired. It seems all goes wrong, and the worng shouldn't be wired. Fortunately, Arnett finally get his job in England. But, as every happened, there should someone to be blamed. And, what'll happen after more and more UK forces attacked by their allies? Damn that war, okay.

If war's goes long again, it'll be a very bad war for US. If they stop war, and even United Nations could stop, it'll even be a very ashamed war. So, for any fellow American who flew here, I want to hear your voices. How's you feel with your country's damn democracy propaganda? It's over. We don't believe any more!
